Fuel

Our fuel policy operates on a full-to-full basis. There is no limit on mileage. The camper van will be provided with a full tank of fuel upon collection, and we kindly request that you return it with a full tank as well. Failure to return the van with a full tank of fuel will incur a charge equivalent to the missing fuel at the current petrol station price, along with an additional fee of £40.

Accidents/Damage

Before check-in, our vans undergo a thorough inspection, during which photos are taken to document their condition. Upon check-out, a representative will conduct another inspection in the presence of the “Hirer” to identify any missing items or damages. The “hirer” will have the opportunity to review and sign this documentation, confirming their acceptance. Following this, any damages or missing items will be assessed, and the associated costs will be calculated. These costs will then be deducted from the deposit, and the remaining amount will be promptly refunded to the “hirer”.

Any incident involving our campervans must be promptly reported to us and the appropriate police authority. You should refrain from admitting guilt or liability.

Report the accident immediately by calling the number provided at the time of hire (our number). Upon returning the vehicle, complete an accident report and submit it to (info@trippiecampers.com). Ensure to collect names, addresses, insurance details, and vehicle information from all third parties involved in the accident, and make reasonable efforts to obtain the names and addresses of any witnesses.

The hirer must not abandon the vehicle without taking necessary precautions to prevent further damage, loss, or violations of traffic regulations or Scottish law.

While every effort is made to ensure the vehicle is in a safe and roadworthy condition before departure, Trippie Campers holds no liability for third-party claims or damages resulting from breakdowns or accidents.

It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that appropriate child seats are utilised when transporting children.

Only the 'Hirers' and the agreed 'passenger' are permitted to stay overnight in the vehicle, unless prior arrangements have been made. The primary Hirer bears responsibility for them and any resulting damages.

Smoking and Pets

Smoking is prohibited in all vehicles. Pets, only one medium-sized dog or two small dogs are permitted, subject to agreement before booking. An extra £60 cleaning fee is applicable. Any violation of these terms will incur a charge of one hundred and fifty pounds (£150), which will be deducted from the security deposit.

Limitations of liabilities

We bear no responsibility for expenses related to replacement vehicles, travel, accommodation, or any other consequential losses resulting from the breakdown of the Vehicle, except for fair wear and tear. Additionally, we are not liable for costs incurred due to speeding fines, parking fines, congestion charges, or any other offences against the Road Traffic Act or traffic regulations.

The Hirer assumes sole responsibility for the costs associated with repairing or replacing damaged windscreens, tires, and punctures.

Trippie Campers will make every reasonable effort to ensure that the booked Vehicle is available at the agreed-upon date and time. In some instances, campervans may be returned damaged, and if the damage cannot be repaired promptly, we may need to provide a replacement campervan. If this arrangement is unacceptable to you, or if no alternative camper van is available, we will refund all payments made. Trippie Campers liability is limited to the refund of funds paid, and the Hirer will not have any further claims against.
